- Company Formation – 1999
- Peca Import and Export Co. Ltd was formed as a ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal recycling and waste management company in Sharjah, UAE.
- Yard Operation Started – 2001
- Acquired a yard of 10,000 square feet area in Sharjah.
- Ferrous Scrap Collection – 2002
- Acquired yard in Sharjah with a modest size of 20,000 square feet to expand operations further
- Non-Ferrous Scrap Dealing Started – 2006
- Acquired yard of 20,000 square feet; increased our total operational area to 40,000 square feet. With this yard, PGI started dealing in non-ferrous scraps
- Established Representative Office in Pakistan – 2007
- Our representative office in Pakistan was started to conduct marketing and other non-transactional operations
- Expanded Operations – 2009
- New yard acquired in Sharjah, UAE. One of the biggest yards in the region for handling non-ferrous scrap with a size of 120,000 square feet.
- First Yard in Thailand – 2010
- Established Thai Metal Impex in Thailand, with a yard of 20,000 sq. ft., as part of our global operations’ expansion.
- Joint Venture with Oryx Stainless – 2012
- Established ORYX Stainless PGI Co. Ltd. in Thailand with an aim to become one of the largest stainless-steel recyclers in South East Asia. Sold off stake in ORYX Stainless PGI Co. Ltd. in 2016.
- Marketing Representative Office in China – 2013
- Established marketing representative office in China to conduct adequate supervision and marketing
- Industrial License & Cable Granulation Plant in Sharjah – 2018
- Industrial license obtained. Established cable granulation plant in Sharjah to process cables. We use ‘ELDAN cable recycling equipment’ and solutions for processing of dry cables, jelly filled telecommunication cables and greasy underground cables. Our plant processes ~900 MT of cables per month
- Incorporation of PGI Thailand Co. Ltd. – 2018
- PGI Thailand Co. Ltd. was incorporated in Bangkok Free Trade Zone.
- Operations in Abu Dhabi by acquiring Alliance Scrap Trading LLC – 2018
- Industrial license obtained. Established cable granulation plant in Sharjah to process cables & wires. We use ‘ELDAN cable recycling equipment’ for processing of dry cables, jelly filled telecommunication cables and greasy underground cables. Our plant processes ~900 MT of cables per month
- Copper Cable Granulation Plant in Thailand – 2019
- Established copper cable granulation plant in Thailand to process cables & meet customer requirements. We use ‘Montalbano recycling machine’ which processes 400 MT monthly.
- Expansion in Sharjah – 2019
- Established copper cable granulation plant in Thailand to process cables & wires. We use ‘Montalbano recycling machine’ which has a capacity of 400 MT monthly.
- Expansion in UK – 2020
- We expanded our presence and business to the United Kingdom and established PGI UK in 2020.
- New Facility in Sharjah – 2020
- Established a new facility in Sharjah as stock list of pipes and fittings.
- Expansion in Saudi Arabia – 2023
- Established a new corporate office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
